As of version 8.0.1 of Lotus Notes, portions of an application can be easily added to the Lotus Notes sidebar as a "widget". While within JSFactory, select Tools > Widgets > Configure a Widget from Current Context (or click the corresponding button in the Widgets toolbar). When prompted to specify a location, append "/SidebarWidget?OpenForm" to the suggested location (for example, "Notes://Ophelia/8625724E0057A91E/SidebarWidget?OpenForm"), then click Finish. You will then be able to build JavaScript projects and define new projects directly from the Lotus Notes sidebar:
